Peace, I wanted to pass this along. Dawud Anyabwile is a pioneer ion the realm of black comics, pushing forth creative, striking, intelligent, and complex images of us in the comic "Brotherman". The series of 11 comics came out almost 15 years ago and it is being re-released as a three part series. I found Dawuds work after teaching artwork to young black and brown youth all across the Bay Area in California and now New York. I was constantly trying to find educational, yet inspiring examples of artwork that I could show them to bring home ideas of pride, awareness, and creativity. I just wanted to share with you all if youre looking for something for little ones or teenaged minds...If youre in the Atlanta area, definitely check him out, because hes having signings out there..Peace.

He's fantastic. He usually sets up a booth at the May Ecbacc convention in Philly. There's an nice little underground of Black comic artists that share their work there.
