This was a short Taiko Drum performance in Shinjuku. I will cover Taiko more in the future. I would love to play one. These drums always keep the festivals hype, and are a sure way to work your arms out!

Society HAE unites the world, and from one SHAE blogger to another, it is a great opportunity to meet on the screen and physically face to face. Societhy HAE's Brooklyn Style Blogger Chay visited Tokyo for the first time and sat down with "東京Tempura" at the end of her trip to reflect on her time in "The Land of the Rising Sun."

I see shiny things, colors, and nice decorations to say the least. Ornaments to me, but I'm sure it means a lot more to others out there. C.J. Browne from Brooklyn was clearly excited, so we roamed the parkin' lot...pimpin!

Aron T is one of my favorite House DJs in Tokyo. I go wherever he is because I know I am sure to get up to get down down down! He and his crew always makes sure it is a good time no matter what event they are at!

I've been in Japan for 3 years and everyday is a new adventure. I enjoy the bustle of millions of people, the cleanliness and safety of the city, the international diversity, and the freedom of being a "foreigner". Sometimes it is difficult being lost in translation and misunderstood, but that fuels my desire to learn the language more proficiently. I love Tokyo; the crowded streets, neon lights, variety of food, the club and music scene, and multitudes of opportunities to be involved in any and everything. I also like the fact that I can play whatever music I like when I DJ because there are plenty of venues. I'm definitely passing my love of Baltimore Club and Go Go on to the Land of the Rising Sun!

I actually just read your bio (reading is fundamental- lol). Ok I know what you are doing there now (smile). Man that's hot shit! I love it when folks are doing their thing. Its inspirational. I'd definitely love to keep up with your work. keep pushin'! big luv.
Thanks for hittin' me up. Couple of years back I had a layover in Japan (spent 3 weeks in Malaysia and Singapore) and tried desperately to get to Tokyo to hang with a friend. Didn't work out :-( Would love to hear exactly what you are doing there. And that track on my page is ridiculous. From a group called Justice (out of Paris). You've probably heard of 'em. Hit me up at your next convenience. Keep it cool.
